It’s a mouthful, but we hope you’ll join us anyway. In the spirit of regional undergraduate neuroscience conferences such as SYNAPSE and Midbrains, mGluRs is the annual showcase for the excellent neuroscience research done by undergraduates in the Midwest/Great Lakes region. Since 2009, the annual symposium has brought faculty and students together to present their work, and to present information on professional development for faculty, and career options for students.
This year, the Department of Psychology at Wabash College will host the sixth annual conference for States Touching Ohio (and Ohio, of course) in Crawfordsville, Indiana on September 20, 2014. The conference will include oral and poster presentations by students, workshops, a graduate school panel, a keynote address and not least, breakfast and lunch.
The 2014 mGluRs Keynote will be given by Dr. Eric Nauman, professor of Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Basic Medical Sciences at Purdue University, and Director of the Human Injury Research and Regenerative Technologies (HIRRT) Laboratory. Dr. Nauman’s address is titled “Neurophysiological Consequences of Repetitive Sub-Concussive Trauma.”
